2018 Edition
Three counties count for almost 90% of TOP 1,000 houses in Florida. These counties are:
- Palm Beach County 46.7%
- Miami-Dade County 26.3%, and
- Collier County 15.7%
Palm Beach county increased its share in 2018 with 12 more houses in our TOP 1,000 list while Miami-Dade county's share decreased by 27 houses. Also, Collier county has 3 houses less in our TOP 1,000 list compared to last year's list.
Median just value for TOP 1,000 houses in Florida was $11,201,442 in 2018. By regions, the median just values for the TOP 100 houses are as follows:
- South Florida $29,420,942
- Southwest Florida $14,111,200
- Central Florida $5,586,257
- Panhandle $5,437,182
- Northeast Florida $4,744,670, and
- Tampa Bay $4,263,972
Due much in part to Florida's attractive tax climate, which includes no state income tax, a majority of the TOP 1,000 homes are the primary residence for owners, with about 58% being eligible for homestead tax exemptions. In 2017, homes with homestead exemption counted for 59%.
In 2018, 1242 houses were valued over 10 million dollars in the State of Florida. Almost 85% of the 8-Figure Club houses are in three counties:
- Palm Beach County: 45%
- Miami-Dade County: 25.9%, and

Collier County: 16.3%
In the State of Florida, there was a 6.6% increase in homes valued over 10 million dollars, from 1,165 in 2017 to 1,242 homes in 2018. Since MansionQuest started collecting data, the increase has been 148.9% from 499 in 2013 to 1,242 homes in 2018.
